American rapper, Jonathan Lyndale Kirk, known professionally as DaBaby has finally unlocked his highly anticipated project labeled “Back On My Baby Jesus Sh!t Again”.
This album is the sequel to DaBaby’s mixtape, Back On My Baby Jesus Shit, which dropped on November 17th, 2017, almost 4 years before the sequel.
“Baby Jesus” is DaBaby’s former rap name before he changed it sometime in 2016. He’s stated the reasoning for the change in his song “DaBaby (Intro),” off of his 2016 mixtape God’s Work Resurrected, saying:
Look, DaBaby, baby, baby, baby
Just call me DaBaby, but leave out the Jesus
I turned all the fuck niggas into believers
Just switched out my name for political reasons
DaBaby only add two other artists as features—Kodak Black and 21 Savage—and some believe this is a brief introduction into the new Baby era.
