
Candidate of Labour Party, Thaddeus Attah, has defeated veteran music star and PDP candidate, Banky W, to clinch Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives.
Labour Party’s Attah polled 24,075 votes, beating his counterparts, Olubankole Wellington (Banky W) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who had 18,666 votes, and Babajide Obanikoro of the APC had 16, 901 votes.
Babajide, who is a former minister of Defense, Musiiu Obanikoro, is the current lawmaker representing the constituency.
Attah was declared winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission returning officer, Prof Fumilayo Odukoya on Sunday, February 26, at the collation centre, Lagos State Model Nursery and Primary School, Marwa Lekki.
