Afrobeat superstar, Davido, stops midway into his AfroNation performance in Detroit, USA on Sunday to pay tribute to Wizkid’s late mother, Mrs. Jane Dolapo Balogun.
Recall that Wizkid lost his mother to the cold hands of death on the 18th of August 2023.
Fans and colleagues of the singer has paid tribute to his late mom at their performances while others have made condolences message on their social media pages.
While condoling with Wizkid, Davido noted that grief is something familiar to him because he had lost his mother, Mrs. Veronica Adeleke.
He noted that Wizkid had the opportunity to make his mother proud with his achievements in the music industry before she passed.
While speaking to the fans, he said……
”Personally, I have lost so many people in my life. And I want to send condolences to my brother, Ayo Balogun Wizkid. To his mother, may her soul Rest In Peace.
”I lost my mother myself years ago. But I know whatever he (Wizkid) has done, he has made his mother proud.”
