Nigeria Faces Chances Of Loosing The CommonWealth Games Following Failed Drug Test Of Athletes

A gold medal won by the team made up of Tobi Amusan, Rosemary Chukwuma, Favour Ofili, and Grace Nwokocha is at stake following a failed drug test rumor.

Nigeria is reported to be on the brink of losing the women’s 4*100m relay gold won at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

This speculation came following a yet to be named member of the team that failed a drug test; a practice frowned upon in sports.

The Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) have, however, been notified of the development by the World Anti-Doping Agency, with the confirmation of the B sample still being awaited.

Pending investigation, the name of the affected team member remains hidden.
