The Queen of the United Kingdom, Queen Elizabeth II dies at the ago of 96.
An official statement has released by the palace disclosed that the Queen passed on peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon.
An official mourning period was observed earlier today in the United Kingdom, whereby flags were lowered at half-mast to observe a minute of silence.
The Queen is survived by 4 children, 8 grandchildren, and 12 great grand-children.
Her 4 children are: Prince Charles and the Prince of Wales, Princess Anne, Princess Royal, Prince Andrew, the Duke of York, and Prince Edward, the Earl of Wessex.
