Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi , popularly known as Tems has once again given her fans and Nigeria as a whole another reason to be proud of her.
She had just made history by becoming the First African Artist to receive 3 nominations in a single edition of the BET Awards. She was nominated for ‘Best Collaboration, Best International Act, and Best New Artist’.
She surprisingly beat Wizkid who was nominated for two categories; Best RnB and Best Collaboration for Essence remix.
Fireboy also bagged a nomination for the ‘Best International Act’ alongside Tems.
The 2022 BET Awards will be hosted by Taraji P. Henson and will air on Sunday, 26 June, 2022, at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles.
