A UK based Nigerian doctor, Obinna Obeta, has been accused of conniving with the former Depity Senate President, Ike Ekweremmadu and his wife, Beatrice, to lure a homeless man into the UK to harvest his kidney.
According to The Nation newspaper, Obeta, 50, had initially appeared before the Bexley Magistrate court on Thursday, July 13, and was charged with the aforementioned crime.
The Nations newspaper reported that the doctor, Obeta is alleged to have conspired with the former Deputy Senate President to facilitate the travel of Ukpo Nwamini David (21) from Nigeria to the UK with a view to exploiting him via organ harvesting.
It was gathered that the Ekweremmadus planned to have David’s kidney removed so it could be given to their daughter.
