Nigerian Grammy award winner, Wizkid and his female counterpart, Tems has won the best collaboration at the BET Awards 2022.
The Award was held on Sunday, 26th June, 2022, at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Their song ‘Essence’ won the best collaboration.
With this win, Essence becomes the first African song to win a BET Award, and Wizkid becomes the first Nigerian and African to win an award outside the Best International Acts category.
Tems on the other hand, won her first international award in two categories- “Best International Act and Best collaboration “
