American singer, songwriter and actress, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, known professionally as Katy Perry came through with this Pop song titled, Roar.
“Roar” is the lead single off Katy Perry’s fourth studio album Prism. The song deviates from the electro-pop sound on Teenage Dream in exchange for a mid-tempo pop-rock anthem.
The song is a self-empowerment anthem that was described as a “stylistic return to the arena-sized singer-songwriter formula that made her debut One of the Boys so remarkable.”
The song was written by Dr. Luke and Perry’s longtime friend Bonnie McKee with production assistance from Cirkut and Max Martin.
